Pecege and Piracicaba Technology Park receive Argentine delegation for exchange on agriculture and innovation

The visit brought institutions from Brazil and Argentina closer together around sustainability and cooperation in agribusiness

Representatives of the Argentine Association of No-Till Producers (Aapresid) visited Piracicaba Technology Park and Pecege on September 3. The agenda aimed to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences between Brazil and Argentina, with discussions on agribusiness, innovation, sustainability, and possibilities for cooperation.

Aapresid is an Argentine non-profit organization that brings together agricultural producers and sector professionals. With over 30 years of experience, it works to promote sustainable production systems and develop solutions for more productive and regenerative agriculture. No-till farming is among the main pillars of its work.

The program began with an institutional presentation led by Pedro Chamochumbi, followed by a visit to Piracicaba Technology Park. Subsequently, the delegation members visited Pecege’s international area and facilities. The meeting also included moments for presentations and exchange of experiences among participants.

The agenda allowed for discussions on common challenges to both countries and identified possibilities for collaboration in areas such as education, research, innovation, and sustainable development. This rapprochement occurs in a context of transformations in agribusiness, which demands articulated responses to topics such as productivity, conservation of natural resources, and the adoption of new technologies.

According to Maria Alejandra Moreno Pizani, manager of Pecege’s International area, meetings with institutions from other countries broaden dialogue and can lead to new cooperation initiatives.

“Receiving Aapresid was an important opportunity to bring together experiences and knowledge from Brazil and Argentina. Meetings like this broaden dialogue with organizations that play a relevant role in agribusiness and can contribute to building new connections, partnerships, and collaboration initiatives,” she states.

The visit also reinforced Piracicaba’s position as a hub connecting research, innovation, and agribusiness-related activities. By bringing together representatives from different organizations, the initiative contributed to expanding the exchange of experiences and the debate on pathways for the sustainable development of the sector.
