"VEM SER DEV" opens a new free class in Piracicaba and expands opportunities in Technology
Free program trains young people aged 16 to 24 for the IT market; new class begins on September 1, with in-person training at Pecege

The “VEM SER DEV” Program begins a new class on September 1, 2026, continuing the initiative that trains young people to enter the Information Technology (IT) market. The training is free, aimed at young people aged 16 to 24, and takes place in person at the Pecege Institute.
Developed through a partnership between Stack2u, Atepi, DevPira, Instituto Formar, the Piracicaba Technology Park, and Pecege, the program offers training focused on preparing participants to work as Junior Developers, connecting them with real opportunities in the technology sector.
The training combines theoretical and practical content through front-end and back-end learning tracks aligned with the demands of the IT market. In addition to technical training, the program seeks to expand access for young people from different socioeconomic backgrounds to professional opportunities in technology, contributing to qualification, digital inclusion, and employability in Piracicaba.
In the previous class, participants put their knowledge into practice by developing a digital system for Casa do Hip Hop. The solution addressed a real need of the institution, with the goal of organizing and managing the tools and equipment lent to the community. The students conducted requirements gathering, defined usage flows, and worked in teams, applying technologies used in the market and experiencing every stage of a development project.
The experience brought technical training closer to a concrete community challenge, highlighting the program’s potential to connect education, technology, and social impact.
For Daiane Fausto, Pecege’s Institutional Relations Manager, participation in “VEM SER DEV” goes beyond technical training. “Taking part in this initiative means helping education, technology, and social impact move forward together, strengthening talent and Piracicaba’s innovation ecosystem. Investing in these young people means investing in the future of our city,” she says.
With the new class beginning on September 1, “VEM SER DEV” reaffirms its commitment to training new talent and creating pathways into the technology market in Piracicaba, developing professionals and strengthening the city as an innovation hub.
