On September 1st and 2nd, the Event Hall of the University of São Paulo (USP) campus, in São Carlos, hosted the 2026 Market Fair. Held annually, the event brings together university students, companies, and professionals in a program focused on employability, recruitment, and networking.
Promoted by the Junior Enterprise of the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC Jr.), with the support of Produção Jr., the Market Fair aims to bring the university closer to the job market. Throughout the initiative, students were able to learn about companies, talk directly with recruiters, participate in lectures and discussion panels, and discover internship, trainee, and entry-level career opportunities.
As part of its support for the initiative, Pecege provided Linka, its event management solution, for participant registrations. The platform helped organize the registration process and facilitate student access to the event.
In addition to supporting the organization, Pecege also integrated into the Market Fair’s program with a discussion panel on careers and the lecture “From university to the market: building career, culture, and purpose,” delivered by Pecege’s Human Resources analyst, Isabela Donderi. These activities expanded the institution’s contact with students preparing to enter the job market.
“During their undergraduate studies, it is very common for students to still have doubts about which professional path to follow and, especially, about how to take the first steps in the job market. In this sense, initiatives like the Market Fair are very important because they bring students closer to companies and practically present the different possibilities of action that each degree can provide.
At the beginning of their professional journey, it is also natural for students not to know exactly which criteria to consider when choosing an opportunity. Therefore, bringing topics such as culture and purpose to this approximation with the market is fundamental. More than just seeing a company as a place to get a job, it is important for students to learn to seek environments with which they identify, that align with their values, and in which they find purpose to build and develop their career,” explains Isabela.
The connection with students is also related to Pecege’s proposal for continuous education. After completing their undergraduate studies and entering the job market, these young people can find opportunities for specialization and professional development at the institution, establishing a development journey that accompanies different career stages.
In this sense, participation in the Market Fair expands Pecege’s relationship with the academic environment and creates new possibilities for connection between education and the market. The initiative also reinforces the institution’s role in promoting education, innovation, and technology, bringing students closer to professional opportunities and, at the same time, presenting paths for the continuity of their education.
