On October 8, at 2:30 p.m., Pecege will participate in an initiative focused on the socio-emotional development of students at Escola Estadual Professor Elias de Mello Ayres, in Piracicaba.
The activity will take place in the institution’s amphitheater and will feature Pecege Relationship Manager Tatiana Rosa, who will lead a lecture on Nonviolent Communication (NVC).
The action is aimed at approximately 250 students, aged 15 to 18, from the technical programs in Agribusiness, Systems Development, and Nursing.
The proposal is to approach NVC in a light and dynamic way, working on themes such as communication, respect, empathy, listening, and coexistence.
Initially scheduled for the Agro Week program, the lecture was incorporated into the school’s regular activities following the postponement of the event due to students preparing for the 2026 Provão Paulista Seriado.
Thus, the initiative maintains its purpose of creating a space for dialogue and reflection among young people.
Coexistence and conflict prevention
The proposal arose from observing everyday school life and the importance of strengthening communication among the community’s different groups.
Misunderstandings, inadequately shared information, and dialogue difficulties can generate conflicts and affect coexistence between students and teachers.
In this context, NVC is presented as a tool for prevention and relationship building, encouraging young people to realize that each person has a responsibility in constructing a more welcoming, respectful, and healthy environment.
“Talking about Nonviolent Communication with young people is an opportunity to reflect on how our words, our listening, and the way we express what we feel can transform our relationships.
Respect, empathy, and dialogue are skills that are part of life and will also be present in the different professional environments these students will experience.
Contributing to this development is a way to share knowledge and generate a positive impact,” highlights Tatiana Rosa, Pecege Relationship Manager.
Commitment to the region
For the institution, the action reflects its role in establishing connections and sharing knowledge.
“For Pecege, being close to educational institutions and communities means creating connections that allow us to share knowledge, experiences, and opportunities.
Nonviolent Communication brings an important reflection for young people and contributes to building more respectful, empathetic, and collaborative relationships.
As Institutional Relations, we seek to bring Pecege closer to initiatives that dialogue with society’s needs and broaden the possibilities of impact through education,” states Daiane Fausto, Pecege Institutional Relations Manager.
By bringing reflection to young people from different educational backgrounds, Pecege expands its contribution beyond technical training, also valuing human development and reinforcing education as an instrument of social transformation.
The initiative is welcomed with enthusiasm by the school.
“As a teacher in the Technical Program in Agribusiness, I am very happy to welcome Pecege to our school and consider this initiative very meaningful for our students.
Technical training goes beyond the specific knowledge of each profession; it also involves learning to listen, dialogue, respect different opinions, handle conflicts, and build healthier relationships.
In this sense, talking about Nonviolent Communication is an opportunity for our young people to reflect on their relationships and realize that small changes in how they communicate can make a big difference in coexistence, both at school and in their future professional and personal trajectories,” highlights Tatiana Guimarães Lopes, PAEET of the Agribusiness Program.
