AgriHub Conecta 2026 Technical Mission explores São Paulo's Agricultural Innovation Corridor

Promoted by AgriHub, the innovation environment of the Sistema Famato, the mission brought together rural producers, technicians, professionals, and representatives of rural unions on a journey through technology parks, research institutions, companies, startups, hubs, and experimentation environments.

The goal was to learn about reference institutions, initiatives, and solutions capable of boosting the development of Brazilian agribusiness and broadening participants’ vision of different innovation models, so that the knowledge gained can be multiplied in their regions.

AgriHub is the innovation hub of Sistema Famato, a structure that also includes the National Rural Learning Service — SENAR, the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics — IMEA, and Rural Unions.

Ribeirão Preto opens the journey through Corredor Agro

The São Paulo leg began in Ribeirão Preto on August 5 with a visit to Supera Parque de Inovação e Tecnologia. The delegation toured the park’s structure and learned about companies and initiatives linked to entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology-based business development. The group then moved on to Piracicaba to continue its journey through the Corredor Agro environments.

Piracicaba showcases ecosystem connected to agribusiness

In Piracicaba, the delegation started at Parque Tecnológico Piracicaba — PTP and Instituto Pecege, where they learned about the local innovation ecosystem and its companies. Participants then visited the Hub PwC AgTech Innovation, with presentations of cases, trends, and experiences related to innovation and agribusiness. The day ended at Arena PwC, where the group met COPLACANA initiatives and solutions aimed at rural producers. The stop in Piracicaba allowed participants to observe how different actors in the same territory can work in a complementary manner, connecting innovation environments, knowledge, companies, cooperatives, and the productive sector.

Campinas and Jaguariúna connect research, startups, and experimentation

On August 6, the mission headed to the Campinas region with an agenda focused on applied research, technological development, startups, and the testing of new solutions. The first visit took place at Fazenda Santa Eliza, of the Instituto Agronômico — IAC, followed by the APTA Hub/IAC, where participants watched startup pitches from the agricultural research innovation environment. The delegation also visited Embrapa Agricultura Digital before moving on to Jaguariúna, where they toured AgNest Farm Lab, an environment focused on connecting and testing technologies for the agricultural sector.

São José dos Campos integrates mission with PIT and Agropolo Vale

On August 7, the group arrived in São José dos Campos, integrating into the agendas of the Parque de Inovação Tecnológica — PIT and Agropolo Vale. Presentations, pitches, and a tour of the PIT allowed participants to learn about companies, startups, and technological capabilities present in the regional ecosystem.

Cubo Itaú closes program with Agro vertical initiatives

After São José dos Campos, the mission moved to São Paulo, closing the technical program with a visit to Cubo Itaú. Participants learned about initiatives from the Agro vertical, broadening their understanding of open innovation models, connections between startups and large companies, and the development of new businesses.

Articulation connected the different Corredor Agro environments

The reception of the AgriHub Technical Mission across Corredor Agro was coordinated by Pedro Chamochumbi, Innovation Manager at Instituto Pecege and Executive Agent of Corredor Agro. “More important than conducting a sequence of visits is allowing a delegation to understand how the different assets of an ecosystem can connect. Research, innovation environments, companies, startups, cooperatives, and producers need to be increasingly closer so that technologies advance from research to validation, to the market, and above all, to adoption in the field,” stated Chamochumbi.

São Paulo and Mato Grosso bring complementary capabilities closer

Mato Grosso holds a prominent position in Brazilian agribusiness, leading nationally in soybean, corn, and cotton production, while also having the country’s largest cattle herd and high technological adoption in the productive sector. Corredor Agro, in turn, brings together assets in science, technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation, creating opportunities to connect the challenges of the productive sector with capabilities existing in research institutions, technology parks, hubs, startups, companies, and experimentation environments.

For AgriHub manager Érika Segóvia, the experience showed that innovation depends not only on available technology, but also on the ability to connect organizations and people and circulate knowledge across different territories. “The most interesting thing is to realize that innovation happens through connections between different actors. This is precisely one of the mission’s objectives: to broaden participants’ vision so they return to their regions as multipliers of this knowledge and help strengthen the innovation ecosystem in Mato Grosso,” she stated.

Corredor Agro opens agenda for new technical missions

The experience with AgriHub also demonstrates Corredor Agro’s potential as a destination for technical agribusiness innovation missions. Organizations interested in visiting the environments and capabilities along the territory can structure agendas according to their profile, objectives, and topics of interest.
