Pecege initiative collects scarves for cancer patients

On 10/15 and 10/16/2026, Pecege will host a collection drive for new scarves and turbans for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. The mobilization is held in reference to Pink October during the 18th Pedagogical Conference, organized by the Municipal Department of Education of Piracicaba with the institution’s support.

The donations received during the activities will be sent to the Oncology Center (CEON) of the Hospital dos Fornecedores de Cana de Piracicaba (HFC). The goal of the initiative is to support patients cared for at the healthcare unit and encourage social participation in welcoming and care actions.

The collection brings together new items in various models, colors, and prints. Education professionals, conference participants, and community members can drop off the items directly at the Pecege premises throughout the two days of the schedule.

“When institutions and individuals unite around a cause, a simple gesture can take on a much greater meaning. Hosting this campaign during the Pedagogical Conference is a way to expand the mobilization and contribute to an initiative that promotes support, care, and solidarity,” highlights Maria Cecilia Fuchs Ferraz, Events Manager at Pecege.

The campaign is coordinated by the Organizing Committee of the 18th Pedagogical Conference in partnership with Pecege, which hosts the educational meeting and joins the mobilization to donate the items to the HFC treatment unit.
