Official formation of the extension group Pecege-Esalq/USP, linked to the Department of Economy, Sociology and Administration of USP/Esalq, on the university campus in Piracicaba (SP). The group focuses on the specialization, updating and diffusion in agribusiness, economy, and business management courses.

DANIEL Y. SONODA MANAGEMENT
Daniel Y. Sonoda, an agronomy engineer MSc and PhD in applied economics by Esalq/USP, becomes part of the group. Pecege has, then, the coordination of Prof. Pedro V. Marques and the management of Daniel Y. Sonoda.

The MBA courses from USP/Esalq start to be offered openly to the market.

With the retirement of Prof. Pedro Marques, the extension group Pecege-Esalq/USP is extinct. Pecege then becomes an organization focused on producing and sharing knowledge, with Instituto Pecege as its business name.
